FUE - shaving the donor area

After 16 months experience with FUE, it is important for patients to realise that there is a compromise which must be made between achieving 500 grafts or shaving a smaller, narrower band of hair to hide the donor area where the grafts have been removed.

Some patients with low density hair, require large areas to be shaved in order to get the required number of grafts. However, it would be impossible to hide this completely, although having a "buzz cut" hair style would help with this.
