Spot fat reduction (Lipo-dissolve / Lipolysis)
The most interesting development in cosmetic medicine since Botox. Phosphatidylcholine or PCDC is the latest safer non-surgical option for small to medium fat reduction. Originally licensed for use in cardio-vascular medicine to help dissolve fatty deposits from arteries, PCDC is a natural compound produced from the soya bean that is medically proven to reduce cholesterol and fat. Cosmetically, it is now being used worldwide through micro-injections to permanently* dissolve localised areas of fat.
How is spot fat reduction administered?
The compound is delivered directly through the skin into the subcutaneous fat through multiple microinjections administered over one to three treatment sessions spaced about.
PCDC breaks down the fat cells, which are then removed from the body through it's normal waste removal processes (sweat, urine etc.). The end result is precise body contouring in localised areas.
Spot fat reduction is not a suitable therapy for men and women who maybe considered excessively overweight, as the therapy is not particularly suitable for reducing the larger areas of fat which are better dealt with through exercise, diet or more invasive cosmetic surgery. Spot fat reduction should be considered as a fine body sculpturing procedure rather than a weight loss therapy.
